Role: Frontend Developer

Flexibility: Remote, 1 day per month

Salary: £40k-£50k (DOE)

About the Role:

My client, an award-winning full service ecommerce agency based in the Northwest, are seeking a talented Frontend Magento Developer to join their dynamic e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing and optimizing Magento-based e-commerce stores, with a focus on frontend performance, usability, and aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance Magento 2 frontend components and themes.
• Implement responsive and high-performance UI/UX designs.
• Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless functionality.
• Optimize frontend performance and adhere to best practices in coding and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and Magento updates.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Magento 2 Frontend Developer.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and LESS/SASS, Tailwind.
• Experience with Magento UI Components, Knockout.js, and RequireJS.
• Experience in optimizing website speed and performance.
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be UK-based and eligible to work in the UK.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Hyvä themes and Tailwind CSS.
• Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce.
• Experience with third-party Magento extensions and integrations.
