We have an opportunity to join West Yorkshire Police's Corporate Communications team as our Digital Print Manager. This is a full-time, permanent post.
Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, and leading up to three Digital Print Operators, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of our Digital Print Unit.
As the primary point of contact within the unit, you will be responsible for advising customers, providing quotes, ensuring high quality products and best value, meeting the requirements of West Yorkshire Police. The unit develops a range of materials to support operational policing, internal initiatives, external campaigns and more.
You will ensure that the right processes, procedures and policies are in place and upheld and have the opportunity to identify areas for improvement. You will liaise with the Force's commercial print contractor, raw materials suppliers and maintenance providers as well as contribute to tender processes.
In addition, you will have a sound understanding of the financial aspects of running the Digital Print Unit.
You'll also be responsible for the performance, wellbeing, and development of staff members within the unit and contribute to the work of the wider Creative Services team in delivering strategic communications activity and behavioural change campaigns to improve public trust and confidence.
Experience of working in a printing environment is essential and keeping up to date on the latest print technologies and developments is desirable.
This role is based on-site at our unit on 41 Industrial Estate, Wakefield.
