Job description

  • Hybrid/Remote: Home-based on the Scottish islands with occasional travel between islands and to the Youth Scotland head office in Edinburgh.
  • Closing date: 29th May 2025
  • Advertised from: 8th May 2025
  • Hours: 35 hours/week. Initial contract until 31st March 2026, with possible extension subject to funding. Support for the YIN is expected to continue under the new National Islands Plan.

Youth Scotland, Scotland’s national charity for community-based youth work, invites you to join our dynamic team.

We seek an experienced worker skilled in engaging young people, with experience of life on the Scottish islands, to lead the ongoing development of Scotland’s Young Islanders Network.

The Young Islanders Network offers young people in Scotland’s island communities opportunities to share experiences, have their voices heard, influence decisions affecting their lives, and ensure the National Islands Plan reflects their interests and priorities.
