Job Description:

We are seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join a fast-paced FinTech company. The role involves the ongoing development, support, and maintenance of our client’s market-leading stochastic modelling solutions for the financial services industry.

You will help lead further R&D and development in the burgeoning space of financial modelling tools.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• DevOps: Strong skills in DevOps, particularly CI/CD technologies such as containerised pipelines, git, build systems, Kubernetes, Github Actions, and ArgoCD.
• Debugging and troubleshooting containerised deployments.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in agile environments, familiar with Scrum and XP techniques.
• Project Management: Managing Jira boards, ensuring code quality with dependency scanners, code-quality tools, and git branching strategies.
• Collaboration: Working with business and product stakeholders to understand and deliver requirements.
• Automation / Build systems: Familiarity with deployment and monitoring tools like Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD.
• Monorepo architecture: Knowledge of Monorepo tools such as NX and best practices.
• Experience with full-stack technologies like React, Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, Bash, and package management, including running and debugging automated tests.
• Testing: Proficiency with testing frameworks for end-to-end, systems, integration, unit, and component testing.
• Infrastructure-as-code: Skills in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker for build processes and deployments.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS for deploying, debugging, and monitoring web services.
• Financial Services: Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
