Job description

PE Teacher – Secondary School – Staines-upon-Thames

We are recruiting a PE Teacher for a ‘school of choice’ in the area. The ideal start date would be in April and on a full time, permanent basis.

There is a healthy focus on sport and athletics and we are looking for an individual who is motivated and experienced in teaching PE enthusiastically.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes
2. Ensuring that children compete to their ability level and aren’t exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports
3. Motivating school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuits
4. Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
5. Attending parents’ evenings and providing parents with comprehensive reports on their child’s progress
6. Training and coaching school sports teams to compete and succeed in local and nation-wide events
