About the job you’re considering

You will take a leading role in our complex Oracle Cloud implementations, working with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS components from across the Oracle portfolio, as well as open source technologies, cloud-approaches (APIs, microservices, modern applications), and products from other cloud vendors where suitable. You will provide direction and derive robust architecture designs to meet our customers' business needs. The role may also include supporting pre-sales activities and go-to-market strategies across our UK business.

Hybrid working: Your work location will vary between Company offices, client sites, and your home, based on role and needs. Note that working from home 100% of the time is not possible.

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including immigration status, employment history, and criminal record checks (Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role

• Operate as a lead architect on the adoption, design, and implementation of PaaS solutions, focusing on large-scale Oracle SaaS/PaaS/IaaS implementations and API/Microservice/Front-end architecture.
• Provide pre-sales support by articulating the architectural significance and benefits of the Oracle PaaS and IaaS portfolio.
• Become a key advocate for API management tools and methodologies, driving a cloud-based approach in building our technology solutions.
• Collaborate with Oracle UK and wider Capgemini teams to develop a pipeline of PaaS business, either standalone or as part of Oracle-centric offerings.
• Communicate implementation approaches and design methodologies to offshore development teams.

Your skills and experience

We recognize the diverse skillsets within the modern Oracle PaaS landscape. While the following are key skills, experience in all is not mandatory:

• Proven experience leading large-scale Oracle PaaS solutions, with knowledge across the Oracle PaaS portfolio (Oracle API Platform, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Container Engine, etc.).
• Knowledge of Oracle SaaS solutions (ERP or HCM cloud) from a technical perspective is advantageous.
• Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite and/or SOA.
• Experience in cloud architecture, including APIs & Microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to build productive client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

Your security clearance

This role requires Security Check (SC) clearance. Candidates must have resided continuously in the UK for the last 5 years and meet other criteria. Questions about eligibility will be part of the recruitment process. Some positions may be restricted to UK citizens for security reasons.
