Role Background:
- The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) becomes mandatory for the Group from 2026 for our European entities, JD Group is looking to report early as group in 2026.
- This role will be supporting the Groups CSRD reporting requirements. This initially will require implementation of reporting metrics (both qualitative and quantitative) from our Double Materiality Assessment. Implementation of an action-plan to close any gaps and to reach compliance by reporting deadline.
- Supporting on any required assurance standards and requirements with our auditors prior (interim testing and sampling) to and for our final published CSRD report.
- The role requires strong data management experience and will require engagement with colleagues from various JD Group divisions, internal departments, and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Stakeholder Engagement: Manage and maintaining close working relationships with various internal department to align ESG data practices with required reporting requirements, including HR, Finance, Sustainability, Legal, Risk, IT, data teams and supply chain Working with assurance providers for any mandatory CSRD / ESG regulations requirements
• ESG Data Collection and Management- Ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by establishing robust validation and audit processes. Maintaining a centralised database and any company systems for ESG metrics
• Reporting: Supporting in the preparation of CSRD, Annual Reports and other ESG reports for any external stakeholders. Ensuring all data is captured on time as per any ESG regulatory compliance requirements and disclosures
• Support in testing, development and implementation of a CRS (Climate Reporting System) platform for all required data collection and analysis, which will support in capturing future CSRD reporting to assist in automation of reporting with a scope to widen this out to a business wide CSRD reporting system
• Assisting and delivering the required implementation of EU Taxonomy and digital tagging of the final report
• To assist the CSRD reporting team as required.
What you will be responsible for:
• Supporting the CSRD Reporting team and ESG CSRD Senior Manager with the implementation and reporting of sustainability initiatives in alignment with the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)
• Responsible for the collection, management and analysis of ESG / CSRD data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Management of stakeholders across required reporting topics. Working and collaborating extensively with internal teams, external stakeholders, including auditors
• Acting as a lead contact for ESG Group CSRD reporting data across key functions and departments
• Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery
• Working in co-ordination with any data/IT function teams, to ensure integration of data across any operational information management systems

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, quality and integrity
• Experience in data management
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks, working well under pressure. Confidence to own problems/issues, propose solutions and ensure that deadlines or business goals are achieved within a constantly changing environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to different audiences. Developing strong working relationships both internally from multiple business units, departments and external parties (suppliers, auditors, consultants).
• Confidence to own problems/issues, propose solutions and ensure that deadlines or business goals are achieved within a constantly changing environment. Pro-active and self-motivated to continuous improvement
• To work as part of a team with a flexible approach and the ability to multitask and effectively manage own workload in a fast-paced environment. Project management experience is preferable
• Passion and interest in ESG and sustainability. Knowledge of any ESG frameworks (CDP, TCFD, GRI, SASB etc would be beneficial)
• Motivation to further develop existing skills, and to learn new processes and systems
