Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

The Purchasing Analyst primary purpose is to ensure effective and efficient creation and flow of information and data within the Procurement Function and relevant external sources. They will also assist in Supply Chain Project Management, supporting the Senior Category Manager in all aspects of their role.

Main responsibilities:

  • Accountable for producing and improving all departmental KPI’s.
  • Collation and interpretation of Supply chain related information and data.
  • Data/Information Management: manage and maintain the ERP (INFOR LN) accuracy including all information relating to all commodities, suppliers, lead-times, pricing, stock records, delivery dates.
  • Trend analysis, including spend, forecasting, commodities and supplier performance
  • Collation and management of RFQs, including drawing preparation and cost analysis.
  • Contract control database management and contract administration support.
  • Produce Quarterly reviews packs for all key suppliers
  • Ownership and maintenance of department processes and procedures.
  • Production of ad-hoc presentations and reports as required
  • Ability to train departmental members in procedures, systems and data management
  • Team working: develop positive relationships within procurement and other HD functions

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Supply Chain / Aerospace function desirable
  • Experience in presentation and report generation for Senior Management
  • Experience in Project Management desirable
  • Experienced user of an ERP system’s Supply Chain functionality.
  • CIPS and/or Degree qualified advantageous.
  • MS Excel Super user, MS Word, MS Outlook and other software as appropriate.

Person Profile:

  • Customer focused with a drive to complete tasks and keep all stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Good communicator with ability to persuade and inform colleagues both verbally and in writing.
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with unplanned demands and prioritise workload in line with changing demands.
  • Strong team-working skills with the ability to complete tasks on time.
  • Good attention to detail with a methodical approach to tasks to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures and escalate where appropriate.
  • Ideally educated to degree level and fully CIPS qualified (or equivalent) or a desire to complete.
  • Experience in a Materials Management or similar environment desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Driven, with a will to develop new skills and progress within the Company
  • Full driving license
