Job description

Are you an ex-military Mechanical Engineer with experience supervising or managing a team on building service sites? Are you looking to take the next step up in your career? I have a fantastic opportunity for you.

I am currently recruiting an experienced mechanically biased Building Services Engineer for my client based in Stratford, London. You will use your wealth of knowledge to work closely with the Senior Project Manager, overseeing all aspects of special works projects from estimating through to completion, ensuring suppliers and sub-contractors adhere to timelines, standards, procedures, regulations, and budgets. The successful Building Services Engineer will split their time between working from home, head office, and on-site while managing multiple projects, ensuring high standards are always adhered to.

Building Services Engineer - Mechanical Requirements:
  1. Hold a minimum of an NVQ level 3 (mechanical engineering).
  2. Must have a proven background working as a hands-on Building Services Engineer within cold rooms, plant rooms, boiler rooms, chillers, HVAC, and carrying out pipe fitting.
  3. Previously held a senior position, such as team leader, supervisor, or lead engineer.
  4. Health & Safety qualifications would be beneficial.
  5. Previous experience pricing up materials and quotations.
  6. Ability to balance a varied workload and have good attention to detail.
  7. Strong communicator with the ability to build and develop strong relationships.
  8. Be able to work weekends or evenings to meet business needs.
  9. IT literate.
  10. Hold a full driving license.
Building Services Engineer - Mechanical Benefits:
  1. Salary up to £60,000 DOE.
  2. Full training provided to become a Project Manager.
  3. Company van or car (depending on your choice, allowance will be disclosed at interview).
  4. 22 days holiday plus bank holidays (Rises with length of service).
  5. Monday to Friday - 8am - 4.30pm.
  6. Pension Scheme.
  7. Healthcare.
  8. Life Insurance.
