Job Title: Cloud Sales Specialist
The primary function of the Cloud Sales Specialist is to support our customers, prospects, and Sales teams through the adoption of cloud infrastructure, primarily Microsoft Azure, via Ultima’s cloud services. Success will be measured by an increase in Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) and services revenue through our Professional and Managed Services teams.
The role involves identifying and creating opportunities within existing customers and new prospects, collaborating with Sales teams and other specialists.
The role also includes supporting other teams within the business to solve challenges and capitalize on opportunities within their areas.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Some responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Qualifying early-stage leads and cloud opportunities alongside Ultima sales teams.
- Coordinating with presales and delivery consultants to gather requirements, scope, and close projects.
- Managing straightforward opportunities end-to-end where no additional support is needed.
- Collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams on cloud campaigns and generating opportunities based on data and strategic goals.
- Supporting Licensing teams with EA/MACC negotiations.
- Working with Microsoft stakeholders to generate referrals.
- Ensuring opportunities are logged with Microsoft & AWS through the Alliances team.
- Serving as an internal subject matter expert to advise and train sales teams.
- Working with delivery and Technical Account Managers to identify opportunities within our customer base.
- Developing business cases to drive profitability and influencing stakeholders to adopt recommendations.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Services.
- Understanding of all Microsoft Azure transaction approaches (Direct and Indirect CSP, PAYG, EA, MACC) and agreements.
- Experience selling with the Azure Migrate & Modernise program.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Partner Center.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Experience in a similar role in the IT industry.
- Experience working with IT partners and customers.
- Proven experience achieving financial targets in a commercial role.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of AWS Services.
- Understanding of AWS purchasing routes.
- Familiarity with AWS partner competencies and programs.
- Experience with the AWS Migration Acceleration Program.
