Job description

SRG is excited to collaborate with one of Scotland's most innovative early-stage organizations as they begin their journey into 2025. As part of their expansion, the organization is seeking a senior purification/separation scientist to join their new production facility.

The Role

As a senior separation scientist, you will collaborate closely with the production chemistry and synthetic chemistry teams to enhance the yield and purity of organic products. Your expertise will be vital in the isolation and purification of high-value materials.

You will perform purification processes on a milligram to gram scale using techniques such as prep-HPLC, prep-SFC, and flash chromatography. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing these purification and separation methods.

The Right Person

• Ideally hold a PhD in a relevant field
• Have demonstrable experience in an industrial setting focused on purification/separation of small organic molecules
• Possess expert-level knowledge in chromatographic purification techniques (SFC/HPLC/Flash Chromatography)
• Experience in processing and generating analytical datasets
• Proven experience in process improvement
