Job description

Educational Psychologist - West Sussex (Permanent), West Sussex

This full-time role involves both office and home working, conducting direct assessments in schools, colleges, pre-schools, and homes of children and young people. We are seeking candidates with extensive experience working with children and young people across all age ranges (0-25), with approximately 40% of cases involving pre-school children, so experience in this area is particularly important.

The role requires providing advice and support to schools on provision and strategies to support various needs across four areas: cognition and learning (from severe learning difficulties to specific difficulties), language and social communication difficulties, medical and sensory difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Many children are autistic, with varying levels of impairment.

The position is based within various educational settings, including mainstream and special schools, at both individual and whole-school levels. Candidates should have experience implementing evidence-based interventions to promote psychological wellbeing and educational outcomes, applying person-centered approaches, conducting assessments, and providing consultation and training to children, families, and schools.

Pertemps Social Care emphasizes putting people first—whether supporting candidates or building teams. Our experienced, friendly consultants focus on finding roles that genuinely suit you.

  • A dedicated consultant with access to all Social Work, OT, and Educational Psychologist roles across the UK
  • Hassle-free onboarding and compliance
  • Fast, reliable weekly payroll
  • Transparent, supportive service throughout your placement
