Part Time Accountant Job Guildford for a leading manufacturer paying up to £75k FTE

Your new company

You will be joining a well established group in their head office based close to Guildford, Surrey. This is a key part-time role working closely with the Head of Finance on a number of projects as the business expands.

Your new role

Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be looking after the group accounting responsibilities on a monthly basis. You'll oversee the delivery of the group consolidation through the new system, checking for errors in data and ensuring the figures are accurate. You'll also review budgets/forecasts and work with local finance teams on the delivery of month end as well as partnering and challenging on key issues. Alongside this, you will be working on continuous improvement which will include implementation of a new finance system, identifying any control issues and building stronger controls moving forwards. This is a hands on role with a really positive and engaging line manager!

What you'll need to succeed

In addition to your professional accounting qualification, you should be proven within a group accounting setting and ideally within a listed environment. Confidence to partner up to c-suite is also key as the role will be visible to the Board. Experience of working on systems projects would be great but absolutely not a pre-requisite.
