Job description

Plater Welder Location: Wissington PE33

Hours: Monday to Saturday 07:00 - 17:30

Up to 60 hours per week

Immediate start

Long-term contract

Are you a skilled Plater Welder or Fabricator looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a well-established and growing engineering firm in Wissington that is looking to add to their friendly team.

This role offers competitive pay rates, steady day shifts, and the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

1. Working from detailed engineering drawings
2. Working on site
3. Plating and welding steel up to 15mm
4. Fabricating components to a high standard
5. Reporting to the Fabrication Manager
6. Occasionally working independently on varied jobs and materials

Requirements

• Apprentice-trained or time-served welder/fabricator
• Previous experience working on site
• Strong background in plater welding and fabrication
• Confident reading technical drawings
• 3+ years experience working with mid to heavy gauge mild steel
• Fitting experience is a plus but not essential
• Ability to work independently and on initiative
