Falkirk Council is seeking to recruit an individual for the Family Support Service who is a highly skilled practitioner, committed to delivering the very best experiences for our children and families.

This role involves working within the Family Support Team. The successful candidate will receive regular support and supervision, along with development opportunities to grow and enhance their practice.

The support provided will focus on building on the existing strengths of children and families involved. You will encounter children and families who have experienced trauma and disadvantage, and they have the right to be safe, nurtured, listened to, respected, and included.

You must be able to be mobile across the council area. Falkirk Council offers a hybrid working arrangement of home and office. The council is also open to flexible working options, including compressed hours, to promote a healthy work/life balance.

Expectations around practice include:

• Reflecting critically on their practice within the Family Support Service.
• Proactively seeking professional learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Adopting flexible, creative approaches to meet the needs of children and families.
• Using professional judgment and initiative.
• Collaborating effectively with multi-agency teams and contributing to supporting children's plans.
• Communicating effectively, both written and verbally, while sharing and assessing information in accordance with data protection and childcare legislation.

Applicants who progress to the next stage will be invited for an interview scheduled for Friday, 23rd May, or Monday, 26th May. Interviews will be held at the Leaving Care offices in Falkirk.

The role involves working 37 hours per week.
