Job Title: HR Assistant

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE

Employment Type: Part-time (ideally 3 days a week)

Location: Ipswich

Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of permanent employment, subject to satisfactory performance

Additional Support: CIPD qualification support available upon permanent appointment

Job Description

We are working with a reputable distributor of manufacturing goods in Ipswich, seeking to expand their HR team with a HR Coordinator. The role involves supporting daily HR functions, advising managers and employees, and assisting with HR projects and service development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Culture and Performance: Act as a values guardian, support employee engagement activities, including surveys and events.
  2. Policies and Governance: Assist in reviewing company policies for fairness and equality; support managers with employee relations guidance; maintain HRIS and employee data ensuring GDPR compliance.
  3. Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage candidate experience, support sourcing, background checks, shortlisting, and contract issuance; develop onboarding and induction processes.
  4. Reward and Wellness: Administer benefits programs, support employee wellness initiatives.
  5. Training and Development: Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  6. Quality and Process Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities and keep abreast of HR best practices and trends.

Requirements: EU work permit required.
