About Our Client

Our client is a well-respected player in the Energy sector with a growing legal team.

Job Description

Draft and negotiate corporate contracts.
Manage corporate transactions, including M&A, corporate governance, data protection, and non-disclosure agreements.
Continuously improve and develop clients' contractual templates and processes and provide training to the wider business.
Coordinate with local counsel in various markets regarding local laws and compliance, including the incorporation and set-up of subsidiary offices.
Interpret laws and ensure compliance with UK and international legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide advice concerning business transactions with customers, financial institutions, shareholders, directors, officers, and others.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Corporate Counsel should have:

A minimum of 3 years PQE within a corporate practice at a law firm or in-house.
Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the fundamentals of company law.
Excellent judgement, preferably with experience advising senior management teams and/or other senior stakeholders.
Strong negotiating skills and sound commercial judgement, able to balance legal considerations.
Strong presentation skills with experience in providing legal training.
