Job Description:

We are looking for a GRP Finishing & Spray Laminating Production Operative to join a growing team in Pontypool. This is a temporary to permanent position.

Location: Pontypool

Hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week, weekends and shift work may be required)

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Reporting to the BCCH Team Leader, you will work mainly in the GRP department, producing BCCH products through finishing, spray laminating, moulding, and hand laminating as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Spray laminate chimney coves, install and laminate flashing channels
• Trimming and finishing
• Preparation of moulds
• Maintain daily & weekly maintenance tasks
• Produce products to quality standards
• Achieve daily work targets
• Operate machinery safely and effectively
• Follow health and safety regulations and maintain high housekeeping standards
• Participate in ongoing personal development and training

Requirements:

• Experience in a busy production environment
• Knowledge of health & safety, machinery, glues, and resins
• Experience with engineering drawings and production sheets
• Ability to produce high-quality work with accuracy
• Good time management and attendance
• Strong communication skills and team work
• Ability to work independently after training
