Assistant Quantity Surveyor – South East London

Salary: £25k - £30k + pkg

Location: South East London

Regions: London, South East

A Regional Contractor specialising in Civil Rail is looking for a Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on projects within their Network Rail Framework. Projects can range from £500k – £10m in value, and the candidate will be heavily involved in assisting the commercial team on a number of projects.

Ideal Candidate Will Be:

  • Degree or HNC Qualified in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
  • Some experience within civil engineering, specifically rail
  • Looking to progress within a career in Quantity Surveying
  • Have a basic understanding of NEC and potentially NR contracts

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the commercial team with running various projects
  • Assist with sub-contract procurement
  • Manage existing sub-contractors
  • Attend CVR Meetings
  • Client liaison
  • Prepare Monthly Reports
  • Work closely with operational teams to secure the best commercial result

To be considered for this role, you will be seeking a permanent position, be eligible to live and work in the UK, and hold a full driving licence.
