Role Description

We are seeking a conventional Marketer who possesses knowledge across a range of guitars. The successful post holder will be responsible for creating a detailed marketing plan in collaboration with the Sales Team and the Marketing Director to support KPIs. Additionally, the post holder will assist and coordinate events related to Yamaha Guitars, Line 6, and Ampeg. This role requires strong collaboration skills, excellent communication, and an understanding of the music industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement product launch strategies into the UK Market and Dealer Sales Channels, ensuring alignment of sales and marketing activities.
  2. Collaborate with the press for reviews/editorials and manage embargoes. Develop and execute local marketing plans to drive sales with measurable ROI and clear calls to action.
  3. Utilize assets to support marketing output when required.
  4. Plan and manage PR strategies for product launches, targeting both specialist and non-specialist press to maximize reach and awareness.
  5. Ensure marketing activities align with Pan-European strategy, delivering against KPIs and HQ targets.
  6. Develop and maintain marketing performance reports to track KPIs, analyze campaign effectiveness, and provide insights.
  7. Create and manage channel marketing activities with retailer partners to support product sell-through.
  8. Maximize Yamaha Music London's marketing potential through targeted promotions and campaigns.
  9. Support dealer marketing actions including web content, videos, demos, and displays.
  10. Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist to optimize retailer reach via SEO/SEA, social media, retargeting, videos, newsletters, and database growth.
  11. Plan and deliver event-based product promotions like shows, exhibitions, and demos, including creative direction.
  12. Develop and maintain a team of product demonstrators for engaging presentations and sales stimulation.
  13. Attend events and exhibitions to support product promotion, including weekends as needed.
  14. Provide internal and external product training, supported by updates and documentation.
  15. Liaise with senior teams to align initiatives and gather strategic feedback.
  16. Support HQ with copywriting and translations for product content, ensuring timely publication.
  17. Participate in HQ Guitar BU Meetings, collaborating on projects as needed.

Qualifications

Accredited Marketing Training

Experience

  • Presenting marketing campaigns to the team
  • Basic digital marketing skills: Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO/SEM, campaign tracking and reporting
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across the UK
  • Attend events/exhibitions, including weekends
  • Able to commute to Milton Keynes office 3 days/week
  • Good knowledge of Guitar products and market
  • Core marketing skills
  • Ability to demonstrate products to dealers/artists when required
  • 2+ years of Business Marketing experience
  • Full UK Driving License
