Job description

This advert is for 3 night bank Support Workers based at Fernery House, Burnham-on-Sea.

The salary for this position is £25,974.00 - £26,936.00 per annum pro rata.

We support people to understand their diagnosis and how this may impact their lives and those around them.

Our residential services provide accommodation and support for autistic adults 52 weeks a year, 24 hours a day in urban and rural settings.

We also provide supported living services for autistic adults who need extra help to live in their own homes or within our accommodation, whether as tenants or owner-occupiers, living alone or with others.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking Support Workers with a passion for working with our fantastic teams.

Ideally, you will have a background in supporting autistic people, but if not, we offer a comprehensive training program to help you develop your skills for a fulfilling career.

You may have personal experience, a desire to work with or real-life experience supporting autistic people. Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in a residential setting is also valuable. If you share our values and are committed to making a difference, we would love to hear from you.

Your working pattern will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, including evening and weekend shifts.

The role includes:

  1. Helping individuals achieve independence and personal goals
  2. Supporting and transporting individuals to integrate into their community
  3. Developing individuals' homemaking skills and personal chores
  4. Transforming lives and achieving results for autistic adults
  5. Possession of a driving license (minimum one year) is preferred
