As a React Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Regulatory Technology Team, you will be a seasoned member of an agile setup, responsible for designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products securely, stably, and in a scalable manner. Your role will encompass the implementation of critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions, all aimed at supporting the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification onsoftware engineeringconcepts and applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Hands on experience in React concepts such as functional components, hooks, state management, and context API with popular React libraries and tools like React Router, React Query, React Hook Forms and Ag Grid React.
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as Java.
• Experience with TypeScript, including types, interfaces, generics, advanced TypeScript features, ability to write clean, type-safe code and leverage TypeScript for better code quality and maintainability.
• Experience inJavaScript (ES6+), including concepts like async/await, promises, modules, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Exposure to cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with CSS modules or styled components and CSS selectors.
• Familiarity with tools like Webpack, Vite, and package managers like npm or Yarn.
