This stunning gastro pub nestled in the North York's countryside with close links to Malton & York is looking to recruit an experienced hands-on Head Chef to head up the kitchen at this lovely country inn.

The company ethos is all about sustainability and local produce, with the game coming from the local estate, and fish from the East Coast, with some great local suppliers and extensive gardens the company oversees. The produce used here is second to none.

The ideal Chef will be able to demonstrate:

  1. An understanding of game, and the prep and cooking of fresh game.
  2. Experience self-managing, as this is a small operation, where the Head Chef may be working alone.
  3. A proven fresh food led background, ideally to a Rosette standard, be it Gastro, Restaurant or Hotel.
  4. The position is ideally for an established head chef, although sous chefs with a proven management history will be considered.
  5. A desire to innovate & create, and be excited by local seasonal products.
  6. A sound understanding of kitchen management.
  7. Being mobile is a must due to location.
