Job description

We are currently seeking a Rail Process Operator to be based at our Hope Cement Works in Derbyshire.

Our Rail teams are responsible for the entire rail operation at Hope Works and consist of multi-skilled shift teams that play a key role in the operation.

The Group prioritizes high standards of excellence in Health, Safety, and Environmental management. You will be expected to contribute to the company's zero harm culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shunting rail rolling stock
  • Driving locomotives within Hope Rail infrastructure
  • Loading bulk cement tanks
  • Unloading bulk coal rail trucks
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • First-line maintenance
  • Basic understanding of cement products dispatched from Hope Works
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality issues
  • Experience working in a team

The following would be an advantage:

  • Good working knowledge of Network Rail rules and regulations
  • Rail shunting & locomotive driving experience
  • Experience working shifts
  • Experience with discharge operations
  • Experience with cement loading operations
