Youth Support Worker – Tower Hamlets – London

iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for a Youth Support Worker for our client based in Tower Hamlets and surrounding areas.

The successful post holder will engage with young people through their voluntary participation, building positive relationships in open access youth work settings, in groups and in individual one-to-one work, which contributes to the refreshed Youth Strategy and prevents the need for support from more specialist services/agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities as the Youth Support Worker
  • Providing emotional and practical support to young people
  • Planning and delivering engaging activities that promote personal and social development.
  • Building positive relationships with young people and their families
  • Supporting young people to develop their skills and interests.
  • Helping young people to access education, training, and employment opportunities.
  • Advocating for young people and ensuring that their voices are heard.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring that safeguarding policies are followed.
Requirements of the Youth Support Worker role
  • 2 years’ experience of working with young people
  • Level 2/3 NVQ JNC recognised Youth Support Worker qualification
  • Proficiency in IT skills including MS Office.
  • Enhanced DBS Check

Working hours: 09.00 – 17.00, Monday – Friday
