This position involves all aspects of athletic training within the framework of New York State Licensure, adhering to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the National Athletic Trainers Association. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in providing coverage for 20 intercollegiate teams and will be responsible for teaching a course at the Lewis School of Health Sciences.
Responsibilities include injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, ensuring compliance with NCAA and HIPAA regulations. This is a ten-month, onsite, renewable position starting August 1st.
Education: Master's Degree required; ability to teach courses in Anatomy, Modalities, Injury Evaluation, or Therapeutic Rehabilitation.
Experience: 1-3 years collegiate athletic training experience required; 2-4 years preferred. Must be BOC Certified and licensed in New York State. CPR and First Aid certification required.
Must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions, with accommodations available if needed.
