We're looking for a
Senior Engineer (Commissioning) to join our utilities arm of Kier called Natural Resources, working hybrid from home, office, and across sites in the Thames Valley region.
Location: Hybrid working from home, office, and sites in the Thames Valley region, initially focusing on the Harpenden site.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a
Senior Engineer (Commissioning) to work within our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP). You will collaborate with the project team to ensure that all MEICA and process commissioning activities are planned and delivered to the required standards throughout the project lifecycle, in line with the commissioning plan and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
Your daily tasks will include:
- Owning and maintaining commissioning documentation on the Common Data Environment, including FAT, SAT, outage management plans, and ITPs, to demonstrate testing requirements are fulfilled.
- Developing the Design Commissioning Plan tailored to the project's implementation, in collaboration with Client commissioning representatives.
- Reviewing and signing off project ITPs, ensuring proper management through Kier’s data environment.
- Working onsite with the supply chain to troubleshoot issues, ensuring safety and adherence to the project schedule.
- Leading the reliability and performance testing phase, including producing and accepting reports that confirm compliance with client objectives.
What are we looking for?This role is ideal if you have:
- Experience in a similar commissioning role in Mechanical and Electrical plant within the Water Industry.
- BEng, ONC, HNC, or BTEC qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and typical M&E plant/equipment.
