About the Role

• Role will start on 01 September 2025.
• This role will be based at our UK Head Office in Maidenhead (SL1) with some hybrid working. There will be some travel for training and site visits.
• You will be employed on an initial 24-month training contract, with the possibility of a permanent contract thereafter. We support your career development and provide additional training to obtain a recognized professional finance qualification.

You must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

What will I be doing?

• Business Development, including development of new waste processing infrastructure (carbon capture, anaerobic digestion, materials recycling facilities, etc.) and bidding for large waste management contracts with local authorities.
• SPV Investment Management, including monitoring and forecasting financial performance of four large PFI contracts, with reporting to senior lenders and shareholders.
• Engage in bid pricing and investment appraisals.
• Operate and develop financial models for major investment projects, M&A, and disposals.
• Operational modelling for SPV investments, monitoring and reporting investment performance to lenders and shareholders.
• Corporate Finance Initiatives, including valuation of M&A opportunities and due diligence.
• Finance Support, providing assistance to financial control, tax, treasury, and international bid teams.
• Review financial and operational models.
• Update business plans and forecasts.

What are the requirements?

• Numerate degree (2.1 or above) in Engineering, Maths, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent.
• Graduated within the past 3 years.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, eager to learn and develop.
