Senior Commercial Manager - London & South East

Planned Maintenance, FRA & Decarbonisation - Social Housing/Property Services

Up to £95,000 Plus Package (Yearly Bonus Scheme)

Our client, an established maintenance contractor based in the South East, is looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join their property services division.

As a business, they have a turnover of over £150 million per annum. They currently deliver day-to-day responsive repairs, planned maintenance & general construction projects across the UK. With a number of long-term contracts already secured and further exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long-term security and career prospects.

You will be responsible for up to £30 million per annum of planned maintenance, fire safety, and retrofit/decarbonisation projects.

This role is to join the commercial department for the property services division. My client is ideally looking for someone with 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Manager; however, they would consider a Managing Quantity Surveyor looking for a step up.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  1. Cost planning
  2. Closing out and setting up contracts commercially
  3. Manage a team of 3-4 commercial managers and their commercial teams
  4. Liaise with the operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
  5. Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
  6. Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
  7. Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
  8. Attending & chairing progress meetings with clients
  9. Regular on-site visits
  10. Overlook P&L with operational leads
  11. Cash flow management
