A leading company in the health sector is offering an apprenticeship for a Pharmacy Assistant. This role includes engaging with customers, providing prescription services, and learning about over-the-counter medicines. You'll gain valuable experience in retail and pharmacy services while working towards a qualification.
This role involves engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, and housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and replenishment. You will help deliver various public health services while gaining a pharmacy qualification.
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent in Maths and English are desired but not essential, as these can be provided as part of the course. For applicants without Level 2 Maths and English or equivalent, employment will be offered on the condition of completing initial tests to assess suitability.
Patience, non-judgemental attitude, teamwork skills.
Good communication and organisation skills.
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 qualification (equivalent to GCSE) and Functional Skills if needed.
This role offers experience in retail, knowledge of over-the-counter medicines, assistance in dispensing prescriptions, stock ordering, customer advice on medication, and support for minor ailments.
