Based in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, NTCE (Nissan Technical Centre, Europe) is our UK Research and Development hub. We are home to functions that lead vehicle design and development for vehicles manufactured in our European plants. The teams at Cranfield Nissan Technical Centre develop engineering and design requirements for new car models worldwide, including departments such as Research & Development, Product Economic Control, Purchasing, Legal, HR, Finance, and Total Customer Satisfaction. Purpose

We are seeking a Warranty Data Engineer based at Nissan Technical Centre Europe Cranfield or NMUK Sunderland. You will join a dynamic team working to develop and standardize warranty data flows and reporting to improve efficiency across warranty and goodwill processes.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  1. Establish and review current warranty data flows, enhancing them with additional sources such as dealer tools, manufacturing quality data, and connected vehicle data.
  2. Develop standardized reporting within the recall & warranty business intelligence tools.
  3. Lead initiatives to develop warranty & goodwill reporting, deploying to relevant teams across the AMIEO region, and manage requested enhancements.
  4. Benchmark internal and external warranty reporting practices to establish best practices.
  5. Coordinate with TCS, RBUs, NSCs, and iNSC across AMIEO to ensure consistent use of warranty reporting and standardization.
  6. Collaborate with teams like CQ/DND and TCS Dealer Audit to establish processes for assessing dealer warranty and goodwill claims, warranty conditions, and policy application.
  7. Prepare management reports and presentations as required.
  8. Support cross-functional activities aimed at improving the overall Customer Experience Quality.

Skills & Experience

The ideal Warranty Data Engineer will have:

  • A process-driven mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to changing demands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.

You should be customer-focused, capable of understanding business opportunities from data, and translating these into effective analytical methods and architectures.

  • Passion for data and technology.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, and strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (MS Access, VBA, Excel).
  • Practical experience in database creation, data analytics, and data visualization.
  • Nice to have: experience creating front-end input tools with Power Apps, SharePoint, or websites; familiarity with machine learning principles; AWS cloud analytics experience, including Snowflake.
