Senior Press Officer, Womenswear

Position

The Senior Press Officer will be responsible for implementing the PR strategy for the Women’s and Baby universes and ensuring all related PR activity aligns with Dior's global image.

Main responsibilities include supporting the Head of Press in creating and implementing strategies for UK Womenswear collections and product launches, securing editorial exposure, covers, and feature stories across Haute Couture, Ready to Wear, Leather Goods & Accessories, and Baby Dior. Managing communications within company guidelines for Print, Digital, VIP dressing, influencer activation, and Events.

Develop and manage the PR Coordinator, VIP Coordinator, PR Assistants, and interns on product management, sample movement, and PR communication.

Additional responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent product and range knowledge

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and retail standards within the Press Department
  • Be aware of all company policies and procedures

Job responsibilities

Editorial Duties

  • Create and implement print and digital strategies for Haute Couture, Women’s RTW, Accessories, and Baby Dior, including new product launches and major initiatives, leveraging VIP dressing for placements
  • Align strategies with global guidelines and market requirements, coordinating with the Merchandising team
  • Secure editorial coverage in key media outlets, monitor ROI
  • Build and maintain relationships with editors, stylists, and influencers
  • Coordinate with UK editorial requests and liaise with the Paris team
  • Distribute press releases across all product categories
  • Manage editorial reports and archives

VIP & Events

  • Implement press strategies for Dior shows in the UK, managing press, celebrities, and influencers
  • Manage media placements, guest invitations, and travel arrangements
  • Oversee organization of runway shows, including seating and backstage confirmations
  • Attend shows in Paris and manage international and national travel
  • Convert dressing opportunities into editorial content
  • Develop influencer strategies and identify emerging talent
  • Support product launches with cross-departmental collaboration
  • Plan and execute PR events worldwide and locally
  • Manage budgets and seasonal gifting processes

Sample & Showroom Duties

  • Manage press sample orders and stock presentation
  • Ensure stock database and contact databases are maintained

Profile

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years in PR & Communications
  • At least 5 years in UK Press industry managing relationships with media and influencers
  • Excellent writing, organizational, negotiation, and relationship skills
  • Strong knowledge of fashion trends, industry, and retail
  • Proactive team player with initiative
  • Ability to multitask under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PR management software (Launchmetrics, Lefty, Cision)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of UK media and retail landscape
  • Administrative experience and attention to detail
