JOB DESCRIPTION: RETAIL ASSISTANT

Full Time, KT8 0DP

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Retail Assistant to join our team at Cavan Bakery's Molesey shop. The role involves assisting our Retail managers in providing excellent customer service and maintaining shop standards.

Responsibilities

1. Provide consistently good customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Greet customers promptly, be friendly, helpful, and maintain a positive attitude.
3. Relay customer concerns or queries to the Retail Manager.
4. Answer phone calls within 4 rings.
5. Build a community within and outside the shop.
6. Assist in the efficient running of the shop, including serving customers, preparing food, stock checking, displaying goods, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards.
7. Handle money responsibly, accurately, and keep the till balanced.
8. Ensure security of money, keys, and premises.
9. Know product details, display, stock rotation, waste control, and pricing.
10. Upsell products and promote daily offers.
11. Assist with stock ordering and paperwork.
12. Meet food safety standards and perform daily temperature checks.
13. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the shop and kitchen.
14. Adhere to personal hygiene standards and wear provided uniform.

Additional Information

The role is based on a Mon – Sat shift pattern, offering 5 days a week out of 7, including Saturdays. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and provide proof during the interview.
