Job Description:

As the Director of Investor Development and Early Career, you will lead our efforts to build out our holistic learning and development for investment professionals throughout the lifecycle, from new analyst to seasoned portfolio manager. In conjunction with investment leaders and our talent acquisition team, you will identify and nurture investment talent for the firm while raising the profile of our brand in the early career recruiting market. You will be a strategic leader in the Investment Enablement team, with global responsibility and oversight for the Capital Associates Program (CAP) – a premier early career investment training program. You will plan and manage both broad and targeted development initiatives across multiple global groups to enhance associates’ effectiveness through improvements in technical, functional investment skills, and broader business acumen.

Primary responsibilities:

  1. Envision and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy for the full lifecycle of an investor.
  2. Provide leadership for the Capital Associates Program (CAP), utilizing best practices in early career and investor development. Collaborate with the global investment group to develop talent for future investment and leadership roles.
  3. Identify, prioritize, and evaluate key learning and development initiatives for investors at Capital.
  4. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of current programs, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  5. Manage a team including associates rotating through the early career program.

Desired experience:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of progressive talent development experience.
  3. Experience managing early career programs.
  4. At least 5 years in the financial services industry, preferably with direct investor or research experience (buy or sell side).
  5. Proven ability to develop learning strategies, influence organizational stakeholders, and deliver measurable results.

  1. Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with ability to mentor and coach others.
  2. Passion for learning and development, with deep knowledge of early career and investment research space.
