Job description

Vacancy at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust

Join our team with two exciting roles combining clinical midwifery and research innovation. These posts are split equally between clinical midwifery and research responsibilities.

The research component focuses on delivering Midwifery and Women's Health studies at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, with trials conducted at Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke Hospital sites. Successful candidates will support the wider research team, contribute to various clinical research studies, and manage their own caseloads.

The clinical aspect involves providing safe, evidence-based midwifery care within the Maternity Services. Candidates will lead junior colleagues and students, advocating for women and their babies. The roles include working on a rotational basis across different units, including community-based work.

Both roles offer a unique opportunity to engage in clinical practice and research, impacting women's health positively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Clinical Research Role: Manage a caseload of patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively with patients and families, support research activities, and ensure protocol compliance.
  2. Rotational Midwife Role: Manage clinical areas during shifts, deliver midwifery care, provide leadership, and contribute to midwifery development within the unit.

Note: Applications are only accepted from those with a live NMC registration or UK nursing students awaiting their PIN, as OSCE support is unavailable at this time.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion, encouraging applications from all backgrounds, especially from disabled, Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities, and local residents.

We offer various employee benefits. For more details, please see the attached staff benefits leaflet.

Join us to be part of a supportive, inclusive team dedicated to making a positive community impact.
