Job description

Job Title: Energy and Climate Change Coordinator - Pontypridd, South Wales

Salary: Circa £27,500 per annum, depending on skills and experience

Basis: Full-time

Role Responsibilities
  1. Support the Climate Change Team with administrative tasks and monitor energy and utilities usage across TfW assets, including stations, offices, and depots.
  2. Collect and analyze data on energy and carbon management to contribute to TfW’s objectives.
  3. Assist in managing utilities contracts with suppliers and landowners, engaging in meetings, responding to queries, and completing paperwork.
  4. Support utilities arrangements for new or refurbished buildings, coordinating with stakeholders and arranging meter installations for accurate billing and reporting.
  5. Arrange and support energy and climate change audits to identify opportunities for efficiency, resilience, and reduction.
  6. Review emerging technologies for adoption to mitigate climate change impacts.
  7. Assist in identifying equipment upgrades, managing new equipment, and calculating energy and carbon savings to demonstrate improvements and project paybacks.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting energy and carbon data using relevant software.
  • Knowledge of energy management, including low carbon and renewable technologies, and sub-metering systems.
  • Experience organizing energy efficiency assessments and audits.
  • Administrative skills to support working groups.
  • Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills.
Welsh Skills

Proficiency in Welsh is a bonus but not essential. We support and encourage Welsh language development through various training options.
