Job Description

Job Summary:
The primary focus of this role is to collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support and drive analysis, strategy, and execution of the Industry Development agenda. Strong analytical skills and end-to-end ownership are essential. The role involves working with product areas, strategy, regulatory affairs, public affairs, legal, technology operations, fintech centres of excellence, and external industry associations, regulators, and vendors. Based in London, reporting to the head of Industry Development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate relationships with key Industry Associations, track regulatory initiatives, and develop engagement strategies, with a focus on T+1 settlement advocacy.
  • Assist in analyzing, formulating strategies, and engaging with FMI and industry utilities.
  • Identify opportunities arising from the evolving post-trade landscape and regulations to develop new digital products and partnerships.
  • Prepare and update briefing papers with recommendations for senior management on projects or watch statuses.
  • Coordinate with product industry development leads and SMEs to gather complete information for project requirements.
  • Work with product owners to allocate resources effectively for project success.
  • Develop metrics to monitor progress of industry initiatives and create reporting packages for management updates on progress, risks, and challenges.
  • Engage with clients through discussions and publications on industry and regulatory developments affecting post-trade services.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Self-motivated with a drive to learn quickly and think innovatively.
  • Understanding of the industry, ideally from operations, product management, or client service roles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate stakeholders toward common goals.
  • Interest and knowledge in digital innovation areas like Digital assets and AI, and their impact on Custody/Securities Services.
  • Ability to quickly understand and clearly articulate post-trade concepts.
  • Business acumen with experience in data analysis and business case development.
  • Experience in product management and regulatory environment is a plus, or demonstrated understanding of core concepts.
  • Strong analytical, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with Machine Learning tools.
