Job Description:

GrapeData is on the verge of becoming the first specialised knowledge platform that recruits authentic experts at true scale. Join us as we roll out our AI-driven recruitment engine this year and redefine primary market research—delivering surveys smarter, faster and with complete transparency.

About The Team

GrapeData (www.grape-data.com) is a tech-enabled survey solution that specializes in reaching hard-to-find audiences globally for private equity, strategy consulting firms, hedge funds, and market-research agencies. By blending online and offline channels, we recruit highly specific cohorts of professionals and consumers to source the proprietary data crucial for due diligence, market sizing, and strategic investment decisions.

Our headquarters are in London, with offices in the United States and continental Europe.

About The Role

We are hiring a Strategic Project Manager to join our strategic operations team. This person will manage the end-to-end delivery of high-impact survey projects for top-tier clients such as BCG, EY-Parthenon, Apax Partners, etc. You'll take ownership of live projects from brief to dataset delivery, ensuring quality, speed, and strategic alignment.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a consulting background who wants to keep engaging with clients and applying strategic thinking, but desires more autonomy, flexibility, clear incentives, and a path to executive responsibilities.

What you will do:

  • Own the delivery engine: Take charge of client projects and operate as the central orchestrator of delivery. Turn commercial wins into operational reality, managing everything from feasibility to final client deliverables.
  • End-to-end ownership: Scope new research projects, coordinate with contributor teams to recruit niche audiences globally, monitor data collection, and ensure insights meet client expectations.
  • Client-facing: Manage communications with high-stakes clients throughout project lifecycle. Anticipate issues and manage expectations credibly.
  • Strategic operations: Provide feedback on feasibility models, pricing strategies, product improvements, and contribute to scaling operations.
  • High visibility: Collaborate closely with the C-suite and product teams. Your insights will influence product, pricing, and business strategies.
  • Own reporting: Maintain CRM with RFPs and deals, update internal tracking weekly, and own forecasts and metrics.

Who you are

  • Customer-centric with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Structured, analytical, proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and decision-making with incomplete data.

Preferred experience

  • 1 to 3 years in strategy consulting.
  • Managing multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • Based in European time zones (BST or CET, e.g., London or other European capitals).
  • Experience with private equity clients or PE due diligence is a plus.
  • Experience with data collection, market research, or expert networks is a plus.

What we offer:

  • Performance-based bonus tied to project delivery.
  • Stock options and growth opportunities.
  • Career progression, including building teams around clients, verticals, or geographies.
  • Ownership of core delivery systems and client experience.
  • 20 days holiday plus your birthday off.

Hiring process:

  • Interview with COO
  • Take-home case study
  • Final presentation of case study to the Executive Committee
