Job Description:
Your mission
We’re a stealth startup exploring the intersection of intelligent systems and next-gen robotics. Our work centers on a digital-first approach to designing and testing advanced technologies before they’re deployed in the real world.
Your profile
We’re looking for a technically skilled individual to help us model the foundational elements of intelligent systems. This role involves creating adaptable digital representations of key components that support perception and movement. These models will play a central role in enabling advanced systems to explore and refine their behavior in a virtual environment before any physical implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actuation System Modeling
- Develop high-fidelity virtual models of various actuation systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, tendon-driven) in NVIDIA Omniverse.
- Implement accurate force-displacement characteristics and dynamic response properties.
- Create parameterized models that can be adjusted based on material and geometry changes.
- Sensor System Simulation
- Design virtual representations of sensors commonly used in soft robotics (pressure, deformation, force, temperature).
- Implement realistic sensor noise, latency, and environmental sensitivity models.
- Create sensor fusion algorithms for virtual testing environments.
- Control System Integration
- Develop interfaces between simulated actuators/sensors and control systems.
- Implement and test various control strategies in the virtual environment.
- Physical-Digital Twin Validation
- Compare simulation outputs with real-world sensor and actuator data.
- Calibrate simulation parameters to minimize reality gaps.
- API & Tool Development
- Create tools and interfaces for integrating actuator and sensor models with the broader platform.
- Develop clear documentation and examples for sensor/actuator configuration.
- Simulation Enhancement
- Work with the simulation team to ensure accurate representation of fluid-structure interactions.
- Contribute to validation methodologies that assess simulation accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in Robotics, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of sensors and actuators commonly used in robotics applications.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sensors/actuators simulation or related robotics development.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or other languages commonly used in robotics development.
- Experience with control systems design and implementation.
- Understanding of soft robotics principles and applications.
- Experience with digital twin concepts and implementation methodologies (preferred).
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Omniverse, IsaacSim, or similar robotics simulation environments is a significant plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Version Control:Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows using GitHub or GitLab (e.g., pull requests, branching strategies, code reviews).
- CI/CD: Experience setting up or using continuous integration tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for building, testing, and validating simulation code.
Why us?
- Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
- Flexible work arrangements, including remote options.
- Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Opportunity to work at the cutting edge of soft robotics and AI-driven design.
- Access to state-of-the-art computing resources and development tools.
- Potential to see your work materialized in real-world
