Job description

Job Title: Driver and Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated individual to work in Scunthorpe and surrounding areas, responsible for transporting passengers and supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Transport passengers between their homes and destinations such as Community Hubs and other venues, primarily Monday to Friday.
2. Support adults with learning disabilities during the day by building rapport and assisting them to access activities like swimming, cooking, gardening, rebound therapy, and visits to parks and gardens.
3. Assist with personal care duties, including toileting, to maintain dignity.

Requirements:

• Understanding of the needs and abilities of passengers.
• Empathy and effective communication skills.
• Driving experience, preferably with minibuses, is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
• Must hold a D1 driver license and be able to undertake a driving assessment.
