We are working with an exciting client in the payments industry who is looking to hire a Quality Engineer on a contract basis.

As part of the application development team, your role will focus on testing products and ensuring quality from proof of concept to deployment. This will involve iterating existing products and designing and developing new ones.

Hybrid Working Model: 3 days per week in the London office

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in task planning and review as part of a sprint-based workflow.
  2. Test against stories completed within a sprint, work with developers to resolve any defects.
  3. Build test cases against product functionality.
  4. Run functional tests on a test environment, including the use of test services and UI/API scripts – provide evidence of a pass or raise tickets to resolve bugs.
  5. Adhere to and implement enterprise quality standards, processes, and tools.
  6. Develop and implement build control strategies or QA tools/processes.
  7. Translate complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods.
About You
  • You have experience with best practices for code review, version control, and change control, balancing quality with the demands of scale-up software engineering.
  • You have experience optimizing solution performance with a constrained set of technologies.
  • You are interested in engaging with productionising machine learning technologies.
  • You have test automation experience using the latest technologies in the early software development lifecycle.
  • You understand best practices for BDD scripts on backend and frontend applications.
  • You have experience using tools such as Postman, Jenkins, Docker, Cypress.
