Job description

Job Title: Chef Assessor (Trainee or Qualified)

Location: Home/Field based – Must be flexible with travel across East Yorkshire and surrounding areas

Salary: £27,000, starting salary, with progression up to £30,000 + BONUS

Package: Mileage expenses, excellent holiday entitlement, pension + much more!

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Duties include:

  1. Train, assess and deliver Chef Apprenticeship Qualifications up to Level 4.
  2. This is a hybrid role and will include online delivery, face to face employer site visits and workshop/classroom-based Chef training.
  3. Support learners to achieve Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
  4. Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  5. Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
  6. Support, advise and motivate learners.
  7. Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Must have experience of working as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie or Kitchen Manager.
  2. Happy and confident to support learners with Functional Skills.
  3. Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
  4. Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  5. Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  6. Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
  7. Must be flexible with travel.
  8. Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
