Cumberland Council is seeking a Team Manager for the Learning Disability, Transition and Autism Team in Carlisle. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced applicant to provide management and leadership to the Learning Disability, Transition and Autism Team in Carlisle. This is a permanent position.
The successful candidate will hold a professional qualification in Social Work, demonstrate creativity, innovation, and positivity in management style, and be committed to a person-centred approach. Responsibilities include overseeing the needs and outcomes of adults with learning disabilities, Autism, and young people transitioning to adulthood. Experience in managing team performance and promoting a strengths-based approach is essential.
The Carlisle Team is lively and supportive, requiring a manager skilled in leading through change, effective communication, and partnership working.
Cumberland Council offers a modern, supportive environment with flexible working arrangements. The role is based in West Cumberland but may involve travel across Cumberland, with options for homeworking as needed.
