Job summary

Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

Reeson Education is actively recruiting experienced individuals for the roles of Special Needs (SEN/SEND) Teaching Assistant, Higher Level Teaching Assistant, and Learning Support Assistant for long-term and permanent positions throughout Greater London.

We work with a broad range of SEN(D) schools supporting various learning, physical, or emotional difficulties, including specialist schools focusing on Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism (ASD), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), as well as schools offering alternative learning environments for children and young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD).

The Roles

We seek bright, energetic individuals with experience in SEN schools or those educated to degree level with an interest in working with SEN or challenging children/young people in London. Support and training will be provided by both the schools and Reeson Education.

Ideal Candidate
  • Experience within Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Makaton, PECS, or Team-Teach training
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Experience in classroom, social care, or youth work settings
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • A positive, proactive, professional, friendly, and outgoing personality
