About the role

As Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) continues its digital journey, we are seeking an experienced Microsoft Infrastructure Product Lead to support our Azure Cloud Platform and VDI team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and maintaining cloud solutions within an enterprise environment. You will join a highly skilled and committed technology team and play a significant role in our technology transformation, working on our Azure Cloud platform. What you’ll be doing

1. Creating, maintaining, and delivering the strategic and continual improvement plan roadmap for the platform, including Azure Virtual Desktop, in collaboration with all stakeholders.
2. Providing leadership and guidance to product teams to ensure the platform's availability, supportability, and operational capability.
3. Managing a team of engineers, supporting their career development through training, feedback, and mentoring.
4. Proactively identifying platform enhancements, leading business case approvals, and communicating roadmaps to stakeholders.
5. Managing relationships with third-party vendors to ensure successful procurement and installation of services, conducting QBRs, and handling escalations.
6. Acting as the point of escalation for platform-related defects and major incidents, ensuring root cause analysis is performed.
7. Maintaining an understanding of current and emerging business strategies affecting platform services.
8. Leading a high-performing cloud infrastructure team to deliver best-in-class service.

About you

• Experience managing Azure platforms, including Azure Networking, Virtual Machines, Storage, Backup, and Site Recovery (or equivalent).
• Understanding of Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Landing Zones, and Well-Architected Framework.
• Proven leadership in managing technology services across enterprise functions.
• Experience creating and maintaining strategic roadmaps and improvement plans.
• Highly organized with excellent prioritization skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable:

• Experience analyzing system performance for cost-saving opportunities.
• Resilient, proactive, with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Passionate about driving improvements to achieve business outcomes.
• Experience working in Financial Services is a plus.

Interview process

The process involves two stages: an initial competency and technical knowledge assessment, followed by a face-to-face interview at our Bristol office, including a presentation.

Working Schedule

This is a permanent role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid working requiring presence in the office at least two days a week.
