Position Overview: We are in search of a compassionate and highly skilled Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to fill a crucial role in our team as an Adult Crisis Intervention Specialist. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing timely and effective psychological support to adults facing acute mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct rapid psychological assessments for individuals in crisis, ensuring a thorough understanding of their mental health needs.
• Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies and short-term therapeutic interventions to stabilize individuals in acute distress.
• Collaborate closely with emergency services, psychiatric teams, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive crisis care.
• Provide consultation and support to family members, caregivers, and other stakeholders involved in the crisis intervention process.
• Participate in crisis response teams and contribute to the development and implementation of crisis management protocols.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of crisis interventions, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctoral-level qualification in Clinical Psychology and current registration with the relevant professional body. (HCPC)
• Extensive experience as a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist with a focus on Adult Crisis Intervention.
• Proven ability to conduct rapid and effective psychological assessments in high-pressure situations.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to formulate and implement evidence-based crisis management plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to working in a multidisciplinary team.
