Group Accountant role with multinational PLC

A world-class, multinational manufacturing group, headquartered in Somerset with a significant financial turnover in excess of £100mn.

Your new role

In this role you can expect to be responsible for a range of financial accounting and management accounting functions, at a group level. This position will give you exposure to senior leadership and board-level reporting. You will also be involved in financial analysis and investor-level reporting. If you are a finance professional who is confident of your knowledge of financial reporting standards and would like to work for a high-quality, successful, and growing business, this is the role for you. Below are some of the key duties in this position:

1. Produce Group monthly management accounting pack and other monthly reporting packs.
2. Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
3. Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
4. Ensure the completion of their monthly reporting and consolidation processes.
5. Provide financial analysis of the Group's financial results to senior management.
6. Liaise with an external audit team during the audit of the Group's financial statements.
7. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.
8. Assess the impact of new accounting standards.
9. Assist in maintaining a chart of accounts, including financial KPIs.
10. Support Group tax provision and computations.
11. Assist with various special financial projects as required by the Group.
12. Maintain the Group's investor website and other related tasks.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with demonstrable experience of FRS / IFRS.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Skills in financial analysis and technical reporting.

Role suitable for candidates either established in industry as well as those seeking to move from practice to industry.
