Full time starting salary is normally in the range £46,735 to £55,755 with potential progression once in post to £62,728
Full time starting salary is normally in the range £57,422 to £66,537 with potential progression once in post to £86,760

Background
You will contribute at a senior level on a sustained basis to a range of teaching, leadership, and administration activities. You will demonstrate academic citizenship through respectful and supportive relationships with staff and students.
You will contribute to placement-related, teaching, research, and administrative duties for the Clinical Psychology Doctorate and other courses in the School of Psychology.
The Academic Tutor role on the ClinPsyD emphasizes teaching, module organization, marking, and research supervision. Responsibilities include appraising trainees and developing training components, delivering high-quality, research-informed, inclusive teaching in your specialty areas.
Your teaching will likely include developing and managing modules, delivering postgraduate teaching, marking assignments, enhancing student experience and employability, and supervising research. You will advise staff and students on teaching methods and approaches.
As a teaching-focused role-holder, you should demonstrate leadership in teaching practices, lead curriculum development, and support students academically and pastorally. You will inspire students with excellent teaching informed by research and clinical practice.
Role Summary
The role is based in Edgbaston. Key duties include delivering lectures and seminars, supervising students, developing courses, participating in examinations, conducting innovative research, publishing, and securing research funding.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant field and have postdoctoral experience. We seek candidates who will actively contribute to our research community, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. A track record of higher education teaching is also required.
Appointments will be at Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level; please specify your preferred level in the application.
