Senior Quantity Surveyor (Residential Developer) - Central London - £70-80,000 + package

Your new company
We are working with a well-funded Developer who are new to the London Market with a growing pipeline of work across London and the Home Counties. They are in an enviable position of having the ability to move quickly on acquisitions and will want your input on these in addition to the usual commercial function.
You will be bringing knowledge and establishing systems and processes for the business to follow, supporting their growth and growing with the business. Projects will be Residential and include Demo/New Build, Cut & Crave/Permitted Development initially £5M-£30M.

Your role will include:

  1. Carrying out accurate build cost assessments; maintain budget control throughout development; and managing cost overruns within tolerance levels.
  2. Accurate costing and preparation of budgets for each aspect of site development.
  3. Analysing and reporting on costs and cash flow vs budget.
  4. Preparing tenders and procure sub-contractors, goods and materials.
  5. Evaluating and agreeing variations and instructions.
  6. Using a payments system for the payment of sub-contractors and the supply of goods and materials.
  7. Management of Sub-Contract accounts through to completion including valuations, payments, variations, forecast final accounts and contractual correspondence.
  8. Produce monthly cost reports on time, in conjunction with the Team.

You will have:

  1. A Degree (or equivalent).
  2. 5 or more years PQE.
  3. Previous relevant experience in residential construction ideally with a Developer.
