Job description

PERMANENT ROLE - MONDAY TO FRIDAY - £43,195.00 PER ANNUM

Wincanton are recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Lorry Driver to join the team at our Newport site. This position involves covering colleague's shift when required, this may involve nights out. The vehicles you could be driving will be a mix of crane vehicles, drawbar and rigid crane vehicles.

• £43,195.00 per annum
• Working Monday to Friday
• Minimum 48 hours per week
• 04:00 - 06:00 start times
• Overtime paid at time & third after 9.6 hours shift length
• 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Trampers preferred

How will you contribute?

• You will be delivering customer orders to building sites and homes in the region, so you'll have a positive can do' attitude with excellent customer service skills and be able to stay calm and professional when challenges arise.
• You will operate a crane vehicle ensuring that you maintain the vehicles by cleaning them daily. After all, you are the face of Marshalls.
• You will put the customer at the heart of everything you, so ensuring you work to a high level of health and safety and are compliant to specific customer requirements.
• This position involves covering colleague's shift patterns when they are on annual leave or absent, this could involve nights out.
• You'll be punctual to ensure on-time deliveries and we offer various day or night shifts with overtime and occasional weekend work offered.

What will you bring?

• Must have valid C+E Class 1 licence
• Must have valid CPC
• Must hold Digital tachograph card
• Must not have more than 6 points on licence
• Experience in cranes/drawbars desirable
• HIAB, Palfinger roll loader/fixed mounted cranes experience and brick grab experience would be advantageous
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
• Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service and a flexible can-do attitude to work
• Must have good English communication skills and writing skills
• Must have a good geographical knowledge
